1. Rights and Obligations of the Consumer

The Consumer (Buyer) is obliged to provide accurate and complete information about themselves and the product/service they wish to purchase (the education packages, digital content, online courses, etc. within the Language Education Package). In order to benefit from the best service quality, they must fully fulfill all responsibilities imposed by this agreement.
The Consumer is obliged to comply with the payment plan and schedule specified in the distance sales agreement.
If the Consumer has purchased a physical product, they must inspect the product upon delivery and notify the seller (British Institute) of any defects without delay. However, used products are not eligible for return.
The Consumer is responsible for making the necessary notifications regarding damage or other matters required by the agreement.

2. Order and Sales Terms

British Institute (our Company) will process orders placed during business hours (weekdays 08:30-17:30) on the same day; orders received after 18:00 will be processed during the business hours of the following business day.
The Consumer accepts and declares that all information provided when placing an order is accurate and complete, and that they may be contacted via the phone number and e-mail address specified in the order information.
Once the order has been successfully completed, our Company will send a notification message to the e-mail address provided by the Consumer, confirming that the order has been completed.

3. Order Cancellation

The Consumer may cancel their order before the username and password are delivered. In such cases, it is sufficient to notify your cancellation request by e-mail to
info@british.com.tr. Upon evaluation of the request, the payment will be refunded within 2 to 20 days.

4. Payment

Payments for orders placed through the Language Education Package may be made by credit cards of all banks, wire transfer, or similar methods. The order is considered processed at the moment the payment amount reaches the company account or is charged to the credit card.
The Consumer is obliged to pay the fees and legal taxes required to use the Language Education Package service.
A secure connection via the SSL protocol is provided during credit card transactions. Amounts collected after provision approval are not refundable except in cases of force majeure.
All product/service prices listed on the site include VAT.
If the Consumer is a commercial company, the invoice will be issued in accordance with the relevant company’s information; if the Consumer is an individual, the invoice will be issued in the individual’s name.
Once the payment made by the Consumer is successfully completed following provision approval, our Company becomes obliged to complete the order.
Our Company reserves the right to change its pricing policy at any time for some or all of the services offered under the Language Education Package. Changes take effect as soon as they are announced on the site.
Our Company is not responsible for pricing errors arising from typographical or system errors.

5. Delivery Provisions

Digital products or services ordered through the Language Education Package (such as online education, username/password) are assigned to the user within 15 days at the latest, and notified to the e-mail address specified at the time of order. Our Company reserves the right to extend this period by an additional 5 days, provided that prior notice is given.
It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the e-mail address provided for delivery is accurate and complete. British Institute cannot be held responsible for any disruptions arising from incorrect or incomplete information.
Provided that there is a justified reason, our Company may offer an alternative service of equal quality and price instead of the service that is the subject of the agreement, or, in cases where fulfilling the order becomes impossible, may notify the Consumer accordingly and refund the amount paid within 2 to 20 days.
If the Consumer fails to fulfill the conditions specified in the agreement, our Company shall not be held responsible for failure to deliver the product/service.

6. Provisions Regarding the Right of Return

Under Law No. 6502, “services performed instantly in electronic environments” (such as instantly downloadable software, e-books, online courses that operate via password on the web, etc.) are not subject to the right of withdrawal. The nature of the services offered under the Language Education Package is generally online and provides instant access. Nevertheless, British Institute, prioritizing user satisfaction, may grant the Consumer the right to apply for a refund within 14 days from the moment they receive the product (i.e., from the moment active access is provided via username/password).
- Within 14 days following payment, a written refund request must be sent to info@british.com.tr.
- If the request is approved, the remaining amount will be refunded within 2 to 20 business days, after deducting an operation fee (for example, 250 TL for cash orders and 295 TL for credit card transactions).
- Refund requests made after 14 days or through different communication channels will not be taken into consideration.
If the Consumer returns the product, they must also return all copies of the invoice in their possession.
The refund amount is delivered to the Consumer within 2 to 20 days. Our Company is not responsible for delays occurring in the bank’s or financial institution’s processes.

7. Consumer Rights – Withdrawal – Cancellation – Return Terms and Conditions

Consumers who place orders electronically through the Language Education Package are deemed to have accepted the distance sales agreement together with the preliminary information form provided to them.
Buyers are subject to Law No. 6502 and the provisions of the relevant regulation.
The purchased product/service is delivered to the person/organization at the address specified by the Buyer, or digital access is provided, provided that the 30-day legal period is not exceeded. If this period is exceeded, the Buyer may terminate the agreement.
The purchased product/service is delivered in accordance with the specifications stated in the order and, if applicable, any warranty documents.
In cases where selling the product becomes impossible, the seller is obliged to notify this in writing within 3 days of becoming aware of the situation, and to refund the amount paid within 2 to 20 days.

7.1. If the Purchased Product’s Price Is Not Paid

If the Buyer fails to pay the product price or if the payment transaction is cancelled, the Seller’s obligation to deliver the product ends.

7.2. Purchases Made with Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card

If, after the product has been delivered, it is determined that the buyer’s credit card was used by unauthorized persons, and the relevant bank/financial institution does not make payment to the seller, the buyer must return the product to the seller within 3 days.

7.3. If the Product Cannot Be Delivered on Time Due to Unforeseeable Reasons

If the Seller is unable to make delivery due to force majeure, it will notify the Buyer of this situation. The Buyer may cancel the order, request a replacement with a similar product/service, or request that delivery be postponed until the obstacle is removed. If the order is cancelled, the fee will be refunded within 2 to 20 days if paid in cash, or refunded to the bank within 2 to 20 days if paid by credit card. It may take 2-3 weeks for the bank to transfer the amount to your account.

7.4. Right of Withdrawal

Although “services performed instantly in electronic environments” are, as a rule, not subject to the right of withdrawal, British Institute, due to its confidence in the quality of the Language Education Package product, grants a refund right within 14 days from the date of purchase, provided the Consumer has not yet received the product (i.e., the username/password has not been activated).

To exercise this right, the Consumer must submit a written notice to info@british.com.tr.
If the refund is accepted, the remaining amount will be refunded within 2 to 20 business days, after deducting an operation fee of 10%.
Refund requests made after 14 days or through other means will not be taken into consideration.

7.5. Duration of the Right of Withdrawal

If a purchased service is involved and the buyer has not accessed this service (i.e., the service has not been delivered), the right of withdrawal is valid for 14 days following the date the service agreement was signed.
All expenses arising from the exercise of the right of withdrawal shall be borne by the buyer.
In order to exercise the right of withdrawal, written notice must be given to the seller within the specified 14-day period, and the service/product must not have been used or must be cancellable.

7.5.1. Use of Discount/Gift Vouchers

For orders placed using a special discount code or gift voucher off the list price, the voluntary refund period granted by the company may be applied as 7 days.

7.5.2. 30-Day Limit

In all cases, a refund request must be made within a maximum of 30 calendar days after the order date. Otherwise, the refund process will not be applied.

7.6. Exercising the Right of Withdrawal

The invoice for the product to be returned, the return form, and any standard accessories, if applicable, must be sent complete and undamaged.
For orders invoiced in the name of a corporate entity, a return invoice must be issued by the entity; otherwise, the return cannot be completed.

7.7. Return Conditions

The Seller is obliged to refund the total amount to the BUYER, after deducting a 10% operation fee, within 2 to 20 business days at the latest after receiving the withdrawal notice, and to take back the product.
British Institute is not responsible for delays arising from situations such as the Consumer sending the invoice late or failing to provide IBAN information.
If a reduction in the value of the goods/service or an impossibility of return arises due to reasons attributable to the BUYER’s fault, the BUYER is obliged to compensate for this loss.
For returns that would reduce the total below a campaign threshold, the discount provided under the campaign will be cancelled.

7.8. Products for Which the Right of Withdrawal Cannot Be Exercised

The right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for services performed instantly in electronic environments, digital content, audio/video recordings, or once the packaging of a book/e-book/course, etc. has been opened or online access has been granted.
A purchased course of education is considered as a whole package and is indivisible. Differences between levels or courses do not imply that the education can be divided.

8. Default and Its Legal Consequences

If the BUYER defaults on a purchase made by credit card, they accept that they will pay the interest and expenses in accordance with the provisions of the credit card agreement. In this case, the BUYER also undertakes to compensate British Institute for any losses incurred.

9. Payment and Delivery

Buyers who wish to make payment via bank transfer or EFT may use the following IBAN number in the name of British Institute Foreign Language Courses:

Payments for the Language Education Package or via the website may be made by credit card, either as a single payment or in installments. The credit card charge is processed at the completion of the order.

The Buyer (Consumer) acknowledges, declares, and undertakes that they have read, understood, and approved all the terms of the agreement, and that they have signed the agreement by providing the required consent electronically. This agreement enters into force at the moment it is approved by the parties electronically.
